Where is Esprit available?
Jackson-Triggs Esprit wines have broad distribution, with availability at fine dining establishments, provincial and private liquor stores across Canada and Ontario Wine Rack Stores.  Although available in SAQ in Québec, Esprit is not currently available in the grocery market in Québec.

TOP

Is Esprit a limited edition series?
No. Esprit is in wide distribution so that every consumer across Canada can share, with these symbolic wines, in the celebration of the Olympic Winter Games.

Why isn’t Esprit a VQA wine?
Our challenge was to create a totally new wine, unique to our partnership with VANOC, without compromising our commitment to our loyal customers who seek out our established brands.  The domestic grape supply was not sufficient at the time for an all VQA product that could meet the volume required for wide retail distribution.  However, it is important to note that Esprit VQA wines are available at the Jackson-Triggs wineries in both Ontario and British Columbia. And, with the increased grape supply from the outstanding 2007 vintage, we will expand production of these exclusive Esprit VQA wines, and make them available to selected licensee customers, thus allowing restaurants to promote Esprit as a VQA offering, ensuring the broadest possible distribution of Esprit VQA wines.  The non VQA Esprit wines were made from the very best grapes internationally blended with our excellent domestic wines, proudly cultivated by our grape growers, to deliver exceptional quality and value, and to adhere to our high standards of quality.

Why not make a limited edition (using specially designed labels etc.,) of an existing VQA product?
Our challenge was to create a totally new wine, unique to our partnership with VANOC, without compromising our commitment to our loyal customers who seek out our established brands.

Why bid for official sponsorship, knowing you wouldn’t be able to produce a VQA product?
Given the volume opportunity that has been identified by creating a wine brand with an Olympic theme – no winery in Canada could have met the volume requirements in VQA.  We are proud that the award for Official Wine Supplier remains within Canada.  Further, five of our VQA brands – including Jackson-Triggs, Inniskillin, Sumac Ridge, Nk’Mip and See Ya Later Ranch – form a core component of the sponsorship and will be promoted extensively leading up to (and in particular, during) the Games.  These five VQA brands will be front and centre at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and at special events across the country.
